Is it free?

Yes.

Does it rely on this website or an Eggactyl server?

No. The launcher ships inside the egg and downloads only from official sources. It checks GitHub for launcher updates, and starts normally if GitHub can't be reached.

Will switching server type delete my files?

No. Changing the type reinstalls the server software; your worlds and files are kept.

Does it work on Pelican?

Yes, Eggactyl Remastered works on Pterodactyl and Pelican.

Which Java version does Minecraft get?

It's picked automatically from the Minecraft version, Paper's API, or 21. Set Java Version to choose it yourself.

How much memory does Java get?

The heap defaults to the server's memory minus 10% (128 MB–1 GB) for the JVM itself. Pass -Xmx in Java Arguments to set it yourself.

Can I stop a server updating itself?

Set Auto Update to 0 to stop software updates on start. Admins can set Eggactyl Self-Update to 0 to freeze the launcher on a server.

Do I need to re-import the egg for every release?

No. The launcher updates itself. Re-import only when a release adds or changes egg variables; the release notes will say.
